Our in-house training supports and develops the self-employed carers we work with to ensure a consistently excellent approach.

Supporting you through training

As a self-employed carer you will be responsible for keeping your training up to date. However, as one of the most prestigious care agencies in the UK we choose to support the carers we work with by providing in-house training that you can pay to join.

We believe that valuable skills and knowledge are best developed through interactive learning. That’s why our courses offer you the chance to work together and discuss the topics, as opposed to sitting there writing notes. We only support those carers who work with us and we do not accept carers who are not registered with us onto our training courses.

The mandatory training you should keep up-to-date yearly is:

  • Manual Handling
  • Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults
  • First Aid

How do we support you with training?

Close monitoring

If you choose to work with us, we will ensure we have logged when your training needs to be updated, and duly inform you when necessary.

Coordination

Our organised and professional team will liaise with you to help arrange the relevant training. It is possible for us also to advise you of approved alternative training providers.

We certify

Once Fitzrovia Homecare training is complete, we will issue certificates and update your accreditations on our system.
