The client or their representative then manage the delivery of care directly with the carer. If your live-in carer is working during the day, then they will charge a waking fee rate. If the live-in carer is consistently woken multiple times during the night, it could impact their ability to care effectively during the day, in these instances, we would recommend hiring a second, overnight carer to support during the night.
The London and North Surrey based visiting carers who work with us are able to provide night-time visits.
The client should provide their carer with food; typically the carer will prepare the client’s meals and eat with them. You will also need to provide a live-in carer with their own bedroom and there should be furniture in which they can store their clothes and belongings.
Most of our carers hold a valid UK drivers licence. However, many do not have access to their own vehicle.
