Cost Breakdown
In any event, all the details are agreed in advance so you know exactly where you are before you commit to anything.
Initial registration fee
A one-off initial registration fee will be charged once you register with us. This is a lifetime fee which will only ever need to be paid and covers all the administration associated with arranging care for you.
Carer fee
All Fitzrovia Homecare carers are self-employed, so we can provide a recommended carer rate. Your carer will directly invoice you for the care they provide and you will pay them each week unless agreed otherwise.
Fitzrovia fee
The Fitzrovia fee is what we charge our clients to ensure that we can provide ongoing help and support to our clients and carers, as well continue to match the client to another carer if there is change in circumstance.
Bank holidays
Bank Holiday rates for both carers and Fitzrovia Homecare vary, this is similar across the care sector.
Travel allowance
Travel allowances will always be decided before the live-in care assignment. The carer will charge the client for their travel to the assignment but this should be no more than the cost of a return second class train ticket from London to the destination, or 45p per mile if travelling by car.
Additional components
There is also a Night Call fee which will be charged if the live-in care is awoken during the night to assist the client. The carers will also expect their food costs and utilities to be covered by the client.
